For some it will be connecting again to a new way of ordering and searching but we hope all will enjoy the new features and info we have added. And this is a site will be growing into more then just a music sellers shop. In the future we will expand it to much more we hope. But for now. Here it is!! First off a BIG!! thanks to Michel van Osenbruggen for his hard work and dedication to build this site. Without him it would have been impossible to create this. I know he had to put his new release “PalaeonTology” on hold for this so I owe him big time!! And with the help of Tamara van Osenbruggen (yes Michel’s daughter) I think it really looks great. We have tried to make it as easy and functional for all of you to get to the good stuff!! The Music. We now have a one stop place for you to get all formats of music that we carry. So for all Groove (and some other) releases you can now choose which form you want!! CD/MP3/FLAC !!  If a release is only available in any of these or other formats then the choice will be just those!! And we are in the process of adding a free instant download to most Groove releases so you can instantly listen to the music you got even before the CD has arrived!! We start with GR-339 but it might take a few days before we have this for all Groove releases ! And now all payment handling is done also online. Secure/Safe and easy!! For our Dutch costumers !! New Additions Robert Schroeder – Floating Music Edition 2023 https://www.groove.nl/shop/robert-schroeder-floating-music-edition-2023/?v=796834e7a283  The music got a unique and typical sound character by using Robert`s selfmade synthesizers in the mixture with Polymoog, CS-80 and PPG-Modular. Robert has now remastered Floating Music and rereleased it as EDITION 2023 on Spheric Music. However, in this EDITION 2023 version a fat bonus track „Floating In Slow Motion“ with 23 minutes has been added, which upgrades the original vinyl length of 36 min to now 59 min to a well-filled CD length. Node – Singularity – DIN 78 https://www.groove.nl/shop/node-singularity/?v=796834e7a283  Release date 17th March 2023 When synth supergroup Node first surfaced with their eponymous album in 1995 they, more than anyone else, nailed “that sound and vibe”, which had become the obsession of so many others. They seemed to encapsulate the very essence of the early German electronic music pioneers such as Tangerine Dream but with production values to die for courtesy of Node founder members Ed Buller & Flood, who were of course internationally renowned producers in their own right. But it was another 19 years before their follow up album appeared on DiN as “Node 2”, to be closely followed (by Node standards), with their live concert album performed at the Royal College of Music, London. Up to that point that was the total canon of their work except for the EP “Terminus” recorded at their infamous Paddington Station gig. Surely they must have more material hidden away in their vaults and indeed this is exactly what the album “Singularity” is, the legendary “lost” Node album. Recorded at the same time as their original sessions in 1994 this has DiN stalwart Dave Bessell join Buller & Flood alongside original member Gary Stout who was later replaced by Mel Wesson for the two DiN releases. Presented here for the first time, mastered to modern standards but otherwise untouched and in its original form and recorded to two track with no overdubs. As a bonus the track “Terminus”, mentioned above, is included in the release. The music is a snapshot in time 29 years ago when Node were first powering up their huge banks of vintage modulars and sequencers to create a tapestry of electronic sound. At times raw and almost out of control and at others delicate and ethereal this quartet of fabled musicians can create atmospheres and soundscapes like no other. The crackling energy of the sounds they coax out of these steam driven behemoths positively pulsates with life and organic energy and will be a real treat for aficionados of the Berlin school style of electronic music. Another great release from the DiN imprint released in a beautiful Digipak CD edition with a special 8 track booklet with photos taken at the time of the original recording sessions. The music of Martin Stürtzer. On December 30th this great EM artist gave a awesome preformance in the Bochum planetarium! A new Andreas Vollenweider. Andreas Vollenweider – Slowflow + Dancer (2CD) https://www.groove.nl/shop/andreas-vollenweider-slowflow-dancer/?v=796834e7a283  “Slow Flow” is a collection of pieces with a relaxed, flowing feel, while “Dancer” is full of movement and rhythm.All 11 songs on “Slow Flow” and “Dancer” were created between 2010 and 2021 in collaboration with British producer Andy Wright (Eurythmics, Simply Red, Jeff Beck, Simple Minds, among many others). The two were supported in their creative process by Vollenweider’s talented circle of friends, who laid the foundation for the songs: Walter Keiser (drums), Andi Pupato (percussion), Daniel Kueffer (bass clarinet), Oliver Keller (guitars) and the young Swiss rapper and beat boxer Steff La Cheffe, a.k.a. Stefanie Peter.The music of “Dancer” also reflects Vollenweider’s connection with Africa. The South African vocal harmony band Africapella and singer Ayanda Nhlangothi embody this connection.The London Session Orchestra, consisting of musicians from the Royal Symphonic Orchestra under the direction of James McWilliam, filled out the sound. Renowned British producer and arranger Peter Vettese is responsible for most of the orchestration.The recordings took place at Andreas’ Lakeside Studios in Switzerland, as well as at SABC Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa, and finally at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. Andy Wright’s long-time sound engineer Gavin Goldberg has set new sonic standards for Vollenweider’s music with his work, and is able to delight even the most discerning audiophiles with a punchy yet transparent, dynamic soundscape. |
