Hello Electronic music lovers!

2 days before Christmas, we just passed the shortest day of the year and now we are going towards longer days and hopefully an nice holiday season.
I must admit when it started I was not sure what to expect. Quitting my job, full going for Groove to see if we could make it better, bigger and sustainable. Looking back on this year, well until now it all worked out great.

Growing the catalog with more then 1000 titles, bringing up the stock level from 48% to now 72%. All in all a big investment in time and money. Organizing 2 great festivals of which E-Live was sold out way before the date and with Johannes Schmoelling as main act a very memorable event.
So although I had less income then with a job the fun and passion made it all worth while!

Thanks to all who helped making this year the best since 2015!!
The visitors to the new website (BIG THANKS to Michel building this) that with more then 1300!! orders (and still counting) overshadowed the normal 900+ orders from the last few years!

Over 500 Customers ordered from us (Groove and Bandcamp site) in 2023! A record since 2012!! We released again 20+ CD’s as Groove from musicians that are among the best in our scene!! All in all an amazing year!! If we goofed up sorry it was very busy, but I know from reactions that we have done a lot of things right!! Any ideas of getting even better just let me know!!

The CD If The World Were Turned On Its Head, We Would Walk Among The Stars presents three epic peaces of dark ambient electronic rock music. Fusing the driving instrumental styles of the German electronic acts Ash Ra Tempel and Klaus Schulze with ambient world and rock elements from American artists such as Steve Roach and Jan Hammer, the album creates fascinating textures from the classic days of the Moog synthesizer while incorporating the very latest in virtual synthesis technology.

Mark Jenkins – Live Archives
For the 40th anniversary of the legendary first UK ELECTRONICA festival at Milton Keynes in 1983, I’m pleased to be re-issuing my CD “LIVE ARCHIVES” which includes the whole of my evening set opening for Mark Shreeve and Robert Schroeder, plus many other otherwise unavailable live tracks from the period.

The CD includes pieces from various concerts 1983-1989 (also including two from the UK Electronica 1985 Festival in Sheffield headlined by Ashra) using a huge array of technology – Moog, Roland, PPG, Yamaha, OSC, Ensoniq and Korg synthesizers, sequencers, drum machines and vocoders.

The four-part UK Electronica 1983 set created with the help of an Alpha Syntauri digital synthesizer, a Roland 100M modular system and TR808 drum machine from Ian Boddy, a Minimoog from music tech expert Jim Grant and the UK’s first Sequential Prophet 600 polyphonic MIDI synth, has touches of Jean-Michel Jarre, Tim Blake, Vangelis, Klaus Schulze or Tangerine Dream, and of Philip Glass, in a cover of his minimalist classic “Koyaanisqatsi”.

Mark Jenkins – MODULAR SESSIONS 23: “The iPad Sessions”
The 23rd issue on the “MODULAR SESSIONS” limited run numbered monthly series of CD-only releases offers all the tracks from the sold-out “The iPad Album”, plus three bonus tracks removed from the parallel album “iPaDream” when it was extended and re-issued as “MODULAR SESSIONS 22: Chasing The Dream”.

This rich analog-sounding music perhaps surprisingly was created using the first generation of Apple iPads as Mark Jenkins became the first musician in the world to issue an all-iPad album in 2010, ahead of a partially iPad-based album by Gorillaz.

Strong synth bass sequences accompany busy percussion sounding like the classic CR78 or TR808 drum machines. Analog-sounding filters sweep across parts as Klaus Schulze-style abstract sounds effects float above. Sequences churn through different wave shapes sounding like a Korg Wavestation, and with a background reminiscent of Cluster, Dieter Moebius, Ashra, Robert Schroeder or the minimalism of Philip Glass, the flowing lead lines could most closely be compared to the style of Johannes Schmoelling.

The original tracks crossfade for uninterrupted entertainment, and there’s now a bonus track based on themes by Michael Garrison, and a closing treat for sci-fi fans with a prog rock version of the theme from “Dr. Who?” plus a medley from “Star Wars”.

As usual the CD will only exist in a limited numbered run of 100. All previous issues remain in stock, many likely to sell out very soon.

Kebu – Live Online
Live Online is an album by Kebu, released in 2023. A lot of special 2nd hand CD’s!!! So I have started again shifting through the batch of 2nd hand releases that I got earlier this year! And added 50+ titles to the catalog which are mostly one off CD’s and nearly all of them in the plastic bags that I mentioned with the first batch!!

Some are rare and for years out of print. Most are in great condition if not it is mentioned! So here we go amd keep in mind this is a selection there are more here!!
