A new Schulze is always excited!!
M Brum / Portugal –
Listened to it 3 times already with a sense of excitement an sadness, this being Schulze last album.
The liner notes are deeply touching – words of a man saying goodbye to his relatives and fans. What about this new opus ? I can honestly say there’s a new dynamic at play here, this being a concept very close to Schulze heart ( happens to be one of my favourite SF books too ) . Shadowlands and silhouettes as listenable as they were sound like the work of a tired man. Not here – this is typical KS – long chord progressions , slow sequences, only don’t expect long solos ! Deus Arrakis is about atmosphere, like any good KS album you don’t listen to this – let it transport you !
