This is one of those albums that defies any kind of numerical rating. The great stuff is revolutionary, the not-so-great stuff ranges from a bit boring to awful, but the album is so groundbreaking and important that evaluating it on the basis of the sum of its parts seems shortsighted. In 1971, Michael Rother and Klaus Dinger left an early incarnation of Kraftwerk, formed Neu! (pronounced noy”)
